Project Intro:
Todd Chesser was one of the greatest big wave surfers until his untimely passing in 1997. This magazine and web layout project uses copy found in this original magazine article by Pete Thomas of the Los Angeles Times.

Create a magazine article and supplemental website sharing the story of big wave surfing legend Todd Chesser.
Research
I decided to base this article on a piece written by columnist Pete Thomas, which was initially published in the LA Times. The story revolves around the iconic big wave surfer, Todd Chesser. My motivation for choosing this topic stemmed from watching a documentary about big wave surfers. Todd Chesser's significant influence within the surf community caught my attention, piquing my interest and compelling me to explore his story further.

The Solution
In tackling this project, my goal was to push my creative boundaries in a fresh direction that I hadn't explored before: transforming a print-based magazine article into an engaging website. This exciting challenge compelled me to not only pay attention to the overall aesthetics of the design but also to shape and refine the website's functionality.
